Not only is Buena Vista Park off-leash, it's just a quick walk to the Hawrelak pedestrian bridge and thus one of Edmonton's true jewels. The vast majority of dog lovers at this park are very friendly and willing to swap pet stories. There are a large number of poop barrels throughout the park and again, the overwhelming majority of visitors make use of them. Dog lovers, runners and cyclists all share the paths and I can honestly say that I've never seen any confrontation between the groups. Everyone is pretty chill.
Great off leash park with lots of different areas. Theres a huge field if you want to socialize, or many areas to walk along the river. If you want to get away, theres a lot of smaller more isolated forest trails. Found a fun boardwalk on the last trip!
A great place to take your fur babies. Make sure that you are ready for them to play in the river!
We take our dogs here often, it's close by and it has access to a great spot for the dogs to swim and play in the river.
Incredible quite considering it is in the city. We used to to Whitemud park but it was so noisy with all traffic, Buena Vista is way bigger and has got awesome trails and way quieter!
