I really enjoyed visiting The Lariat while I was in the area. The food and atmosphere are hard to beat. The live music is good as well!
Very good restaurant. Interesting, different items on menu. Outdoor seating in back which is very pleasant and quiet. Good service. Extensive selection from bar. Decor was unusual and unique. Can have live music.
Came here for the third time while visiting this area because the drinks were on point and I desperately needed some WiFi to upload a work file. The drinks, food, and service have been consistently great.Edit: Unfortunately the last 2 visits have resulted in terrible to no service. We waited for several minutes and saw multiple employees, but no one acknowledged us. When we were finally sat, the service resulted in botched orders and forgotten drinks. The second time I visited alone and never even made it to a table or bar. I waited several minutes and even surveyed a bar patron that gave up, threw the menu back at the bar, and left. The establishment was fairly empty but after seeing that indication of service, I left as well.
My experiences at the Lariat have been predominantly good, especially when bands play there, however, I have witnessed rude behavior in a few of the bar personnel toward myself and others. If this wasn't the case, the Lariat would get 4 stars and more patronage from myself and some of my friends. The food and drinks are pretty darn good.
WOW!!! What an epic pub in the heart of Buena Vista. Great outdoor seating in both the front & back! Pool table, dart boards and a top notch Main Stage for live music. Not too loud for an enjoyable dinner with the music! Definitely a family friendly environment. Fantastic bar selection and delicious food! A MUST TRY!!!
