Lynne and Matt were amazing hosts. The breakfast was scrumptious and we met some great people. Beautiful room with mountain and river views. They even had a cold bottle of bubbly and chocolate covered strawberries ready for our arrival to celebrate our anniversary. Highly recommend!
What a wonderful experience: relaxing and refreshing amidst beautiful surroundings. From the beginning, months ago, the owner, Mike, has been nothing but helpful, assisting in suggesting local activities and restaurants. Our first floor room was convenient, and we could leave the sliding door open to hear the Arkansas River gurgling just below our room. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The common area is large and pleasantly decorated with a fishing theme. The staff always worked to please: Mike was called away, but Lynne filled in with grace and efficiency. Breakfasts were extraordinary, and were well received by our fellow guests. Liars Lodge is convenient to Buena Vista, but sufficiently far that it is very quiet at night. One thing that was not said, but that I would urge you to do: take a small side trip to see the tunnels. Make a right out of the driveway, go 2 miles, and see these interesting man made tunnels, all the while seeing beautiful views of the Arkansas River. Liars Lodge provides a delightful experience.

We recently stayed at the cabin and it was hands down the best vacation we had! The cabin was amazing it definitely surpassed our expectations. With the Arkansas river right behind it for fishing and the breath taking views. Me and husband and kids will definitely be back soon!
Would not recommend AT ALL! Where to start. We were on a 2 month road trip and spent a couple nights here. There is absolutely no air flow through the house at all - not even when the nights cooled things down. This is also suppose to be a place for weddings - Brides & Grooms beware - it is so stifling hot inside.There was NOT a shower - only a tub with a sprayer that had no water pressure and the grossest "stuff" backing up out of the drain. We were told the B&B had a Hot Tub, but there was not one. Access to the river was practically impossible. The owner was one of the rudest people we came across during our trip. He actually reprimanded the lady that was helping with the B&B in front of guests - would hope he didn't know we could hear him. Giving 2 stars because the food was good - maybe the owner should get out of the hotel hospitality business and into the restaurant business. Skip this place on your travels.
